This beautiful Parker 51 Vacumatic was manufactured in 1948, the 2nd quarter. This pen features a Parker 14K Gold Fine nib and a Lustraloy (stainless steel) cap. It has been fully disassembled and cleaned thoroughly. The diaphragm was replaced, and the pen was reassembled and water tested to ensure the fill system is working properly and there are no leaks. The pen was dip tested for a writing sample. The nib writes smoothly; no scratchiness, hard starting, or skipping. The entire barrel, hood & cap were polished to a high luster with a jeweler's cloth.
Condition:
Barrel & hood: Age-related microfine scratches, no deep scratches, nicks, gouges, wear marks, or cracks.
Lustraloy cap: Bright and shiny brushed stainless steel. Age-related microfine scratches, no deep scratches, nicks, gouges, wear marks, or cracks.
Clip, clip ring, and clutch ring: Bright and shiny chrome. Age-related microfine scratches, no deep scratches, nicks, gouges, wear marks, or cracks.
