The image depicts "The First Quadrille at Almack's," an illustration by Joseph Grego. This scene portrays the introduction of the quadrille dance to England's high society during the Regency period, around 1818. The dancers are identified as the Marquis of Worcester, Lady Jersey, Clanronald Macdonald, and Lady Worcester. The quadrille, a dance originating in France, was introduced to England by Lady Jersey and quickly gained popularity in fashionable circles.

Condition - A small divot on the front edge, chips on the corners on the backside. All over crazing.
