Beautiful and authentic Victorian era black lace bodice dating to approximately 1890–1908, purchased originally from Marshall Field & Co. a luxury department store of the time. This piece features intricate black lace, decorative net overlays, ruffled sleeves, and its original boned silk interior lining.
The interior silk has heavy age related deterioration (common for silk from this era), but the outer lace and structure remain intact and display beautifully. The bodice still has its original closures and ties.
A rare labeled example of Victorian mourning or evening wear. Ideal for collectors, historical fashion enthusiasts, museums, or decorative display.
