Vtg Double Sided Reverse Glass Painting Chinese Snuff Bottle Hand Carved Glass Signed By Artist Amber Stopper Warrior Tigers Original Box
This exquisite handmade glass snuff bottle was brought home by my parent's from their 1994 trip to China.
This piece is two sided. One side depicts a warrior wearing a long red flowing cap on a white horse with an elaborate saddle. He has aimed his bow and arrow toward a bird. The arrow has made contact with the bird. Many Chinese symbols that I have tried to Google Translate to no avail. Also, the lower left corner has a red symbol.
The reverse side shows to playful Bengal Tigers with a floral background. There are Chinese symbols as well, above the tigers.
On either side of the upper glass is hand carving in the shape of intricate scrolls. Really beautiful work.
The amber glass colored lid/stopper has a cork base that fits perfectly into the glass bottle.
The original box is included.
This piece is truly magnificent.
