Originally, Mario Bros. was operated in game centers. However, this cartridge's arcade version properly features icicles, and the turtles and flames are the same size as the arcade version, giving them a strong presence. The difficulty also increases with each level cleared, and when playing on GAME B, it's difficult to even reach 50 levels. Furthermore, you can change direction mid-jump, just like the arcade version (the Famicom version released in 1983 cannot do this), and the animation of the flipped-over turtles getting up is also the same as the arcade version (image 11, not present in the 1983 Famicom version).
