No longer available in retail and usually resells at a higher price point. Beautiful burgundy, smooth, brushed, "oily" leather. Part of the appeal of this tote is that the bottom is flat so it sits up on its own, has interior and exterior pockets, and hardware accents keep the handles flat when not carrying. Used gently twice.
To those new to PLG, this type of leather can take a lot of use before needing to be re-conditioned due to its waxy coating, and is quite splash-proof. Note that scuffs are typical of this type of leather, and they can be smoothed out with a soft brush or your hands, but it is a bag that tells a story the more you use it. Like its namesake, Merlot gets better with age. If you do not care for the vintage, worn look, this may not be the bag for you.
