I'm not entirely sure if this piece is leather-wrapped. When I searched similar ones on eBay, most listings described them as leather-wrapped, so it's possible.
Whatever the material is, it’s flaking off in some areas, which makes me think it may have been leather-wrapped and then painted—but I can't say for certain.
Also, the back right leg has a partial crack.
